Aschim Homestead Heritage Forest, located just south of Candle Lake, covers 320 acres with historical significance. The property features a two-storey log house furnished in the style of its original era, complete with outbuildings and a woodlot. Visitors can explore interpretive trails leading to unique sights like the long lost climbing tree. Wildlife enthusiasts may spot beavers in their natural setting. Winter brings ploughed parking and marked snowshoe trails, while bus tours and a hiking club offer year-round activities. Note: Picnicking is allowed; however, open fires and camping are not.
