Chinook Parkway
The Chinook Parkway starts on the North Service Road, winds along the Swift Current Creek and ends at the Windscape Kite Festival site.
The Chinook Parkway is a 24-km pathway that winds along the Swift Current Creek passing through many attractions and parks. With many rest stops along the way, this trail is perfect for all types of recreational activities. This paved, wheelchair accessible trail is perfect for walking, cycling, jogging and birdwatching. The area contains native prairie grasses and more than 60 wildflower species including wild licorice, prickly pear cactus and cattails. Birds and wildlife that may be spotted include waterfowl such as blue-winged teal, beavers, meadowlarks, deer, gray catbirds, yellow-headed blackbirds and muskrats.
