Named after Harold Saunders "Corky" Jones, an amateur paleontologist and historian, the well-known Jones' Peak offers visitors a breathtaking panorama of the river valley and rangelands below. An excellent area for birding and wildlife viewing. Small parking lot on site. Area's environment is fragile, hills are steep and crumble easy. Please keep to the trails whenever possible. Travel to area is not recommended during wet conditions.
