Consisting of a number of buildings, the Indian Head Museum preserves and displays the history of Indian Head and surrounding area. The heritage village contains a one-room 1926 country school house, an 1883 cottage from the Bell Farm, a replica of an old one-bay country garage, a blacksmith shop, a carpenter's shop, a CPR railway room and a separate building with a military display. The main museum building, a 1907 brick fire hall, contains an extensive collection of early settler items, pictures and artifacts as well as the exhibit - Federal Government Agriculture stations: the Research Farm and the Forestry Farm.
