    Open year round and located in the hamlet of Missinipe on beautiful Otter Lake, Thompson’s Resort offers a variety of accommodation options ranging from bachelor cabins to group cabins that can sleep up to 22 people. The resort also includes a convenience store, gas station and the Churchill River Trading Post.

    During the high season, Thompson's Resort offers guided fishing, pontoon boat tours, interpretive tours, local guide service, scenic flights and fishing boat, canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard rentals. Its licensed restaurant, with a patio overlooking the docks, has cabin delivery and conference/event space. Fly out of the resort and experience exclusive world-class fishing at its rustic outpost camps or take a day trip to one of its fly-out lakes.

    During the winter season, Thompson's Resort offers cozy cabins (some with fireplaces), ice fishing, ice fishing kit rentals, snowmobile and snowshoe rentals, local guides, a skating rink and tobogganing hill. And in late February, the resort is part of the Canadian Dog Sled Challenge.

    Bear and moose hunts are also available through the resort.

Enjoy a six-day/five-night culinary tour of Saskatchewan. The tour travels from Saskatoon with stops at Batoche National Historic Site and Elk Ridge Resort, ending up in the Boreal Forest for a four-night stay at Thompson's Resort. While in the Boreal Forest, learn about Indigenous culture and local ingredients and savour fantastic food. On the return trip to Saskatoon, the tour stops at Wanuskewin Heritage Park and finishes with a wrap-up meal at a local Saskatoon restaurant.
