Cumberland House Provincial Park is the site of the first inland Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) fur trade post and is the oldest permanent settlement in Saskatchewan. Established in 1774, this site was once an important transportation hub, and the remnants of the steamboat Northcote are displayed at the park. The post closed in 1925 and the only remainder is the thick, stone-walled powder house. There are no onsite facilities.
