Duck Mountain Provincial Park is loved for its rolling hills, well-stocked lakes and boreal forest setting. With accommodations ranging from wilderness camping to electric campsites and a lodge with modern cabins and townhouses, Duck Mountain offers in-park accommodation for every season.

This family-friendly park offers a wide-range of recreational opportunities. Fish for pike, walleye or perch in spring-fed Madge Lake, or try one of the various other lakes found in and around the park. Bike a section of the Trans Canada Trail (The Great Trail) or sample one of the other self-guided or interpretive trails. Check out the nearby Doukhobor Heritage Village National Historic Site at Veregin.

Duck Mountain Provincial Park

The 40th annual Duck Mountain Loppet (cross-country ski meet) will take place at the Duck Mountain Provincial Park. Five, 10, 20, 25, 30 and 45 km groomed cross-country ski trails. Heated shelters approximately every 10 km. Rate includes hot meal, distance pins and certificates. Start time 9 a.m. Pre-registration is preferred. A member of the Premium Loppet Series in Saskatchewan. See website for more information.

This event offers a wide variety of activities for all ages and interests! Both indoor and outdoor activities and "Learn-to" events will be offered.

  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. - Pancake breakfast @ Recreation Hall

  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Snowmobile derby (Registration @ Recreation Hall 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.)

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Park-wide activities including a kid’s carnival, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, skating, tobogganing, learn-to cross-country ski, downhill tubing, free hot dog roast & more!

  • 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Farmer’s Market @ Rec Hall

  • 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - soup and sandwich lunch @ St. Michael’s Bible Camp

  • 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Perogy supper @ St. Michael’s Bible Camp

Make sure to pick up a program and map at the Visitor Centre upon arrival!

The Winter Carnival is free to attend with valid park entry. Please note that there is cost associated with some activities. Bring your Sask Parks annual park entry permit or purchase entry at the Visitor Centre.
