Duck Mountain Provincial Park is loved for its rolling hills, well-stocked lakes and boreal forest setting. With accommodations ranging from wilderness camping to electric campsites and Camp-Easy yurts to a lodge with modern cabins and townhouses, Duck Mountain offers in-park accommodation for every season. ​

This family-friendly park offers a wide-range of recreational opportunities. Fish for pike, walleye or perch in spring-fed Madge Lake, or try one of the various other lakes found in and around the park. Bike a section of the Trans Canada Trail or sample one of the other self-guided or interpretive trails. Check out the nearby National Doukhobor Heritage Village site at Veregin.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Join a Park Interpreter for this guided excursion through the snow! First, learn all the basics of snowshoeing, followed by a guided snowshoe through the park. Then, gaze through the treetops at birds soaring overhead, follow the meandering tracks of deer and rabbits, and feel the varying textures of tree bark on your fingertips! This program is designed for all levels of experience in snowshoeing. Snowshoes will be provided, but please wear boots and dress appropriately. If there is not enough snow to utilize snowshoes, this program will be offered as a winter hike.

Location: Meet at Madge Lake Golf Course

Be sure to prepare for the weather - dress in layers and check the forecast for snow and wind.
