Candle Lake Provincial Park

Approximately 80 km NE of Prince Albert via Hwys 55 and 120 on paved road.
Candle Lake Provincial Park is home to sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and surrounding forests. Visitors of all ages can enjoy fishing, boating, strolling along the boardwalks out to the Minowukaw sand dunes and along Old Baldy Trail, swimming in a large, shallow lake, or visiting the famous purple sands beach.
Candle Lake offers numerous day-use areas; Musker Pond features a stocked Trout pond that welcomes kayaks and paddleboards, a walkway around the pond, an accessible pier, washroom facilities, and a picnic shelter. Fisher Creek's day-use area boasts a nine-hole disc golf course, a picturesque bridge, a fish filleting shack, and a group camping area. Waskateena Beach offers pristine water, groomed white sand, and shallow depths, which makes Waskateena Beach the perfect getaway for families. Parking lots, washroom facilities, a playground, and picnic shelters are all conveniently located along the beach area.
During the winter, visitors can enjoy activities such as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the Old Baldy Trail, Musker Pond, and Sandy Bay Campground. Ice fishing and snowmobiling are also a must in the surrounding area and on the lake.
