Narrow Hills Provincial Park is the perfect wilderness getaway for the family and angler alike. Uniquely shaped by the last glacial period, the park boasts more than 53,000 hectares of narrow valleys, knob and kettle terrain and boreal forest. Experience the dramatic and vast landscape of this scenic park by hiking the hills above the Gem Lakes. Rough the wild by camping at one of the park's wilderness campsites located at Jade, Diamond and Opal Lakes. For that perfect getaway with minimal effort and preparation, two Camp-Easy Sites are available for booking.​ With its well-maintained beach, picnic and playground facilities, and with more than 25 bodies of water located within its boundaries, Narrow Hills Provincial Park is a place where adventure awaits.

Event Details: Are you interested in exploring the backcountry but just don't know where to start? Join park interpreters and local experts on a full day introduction to backcountry hiking on the beautiful Gem Lakes! Experience a mountain feel in Saskatchewan on The Gems, while learning about general hiking safety, animal awareness and what gear you need to hike safely. The day will include an afternoon guided hike on the Gem Lakes Trail with experienced guides. Hikes and guided paddles (canoe) begin at 10:00 AM and run every hour on the hour until 4:00 PM. In the evening, the festivities move over to Lower Fishing Lake on the main beach, where we will have crafts, Learn to Fly Fish, fire building, and more!
