Condie Nature Refuge, located just 20 km north of downtown Regina, offers a serene getaway accessible year-round. This outdoor recreation site features a non-motorized boat-friendly reservoir and several amenities including picnic areas with briquette-only grills and a shelter. Comfort is prioritized with wheelchair-friendly pit toilets available at each parking lot.
Visitors can enjoy four kilometres of gentle hiking trails suitable for all skill levels, including a fully accessible loop. The area is known for its vibrant wildflowers in spring and summer, and a variety of birds such as pelicans and hawks. Note that pets are not allowed in order to protect the wildlife.
The Condie reservoir was formed by damming Boggy Creek in 1924 to serve CN Rail's steam engines.
