Frenchman Butte Heritage Centre & Heritage RV Park
Stroll through Frenchman Butte Heritage Centre's nine historic buildings, including three designated heritage buildings — the CNR Railway Station, Big Hill School, and Leer House. Explore engaging exhibits in the Transportation Room, General Store, and Rooms of History, and discover the whimsical salt and pepper shaker collection. Each space highlights the region’s diverse history — from Indigenous life and early settlement to the events of 1885 and the vital travel routes that connected it all, including the river highway, railway, and Carleton Trail. Afterward, unwind at the Log Cabin Tea House with homemade treats and tea served in fine china.
Located onsite, the Heritage RV Park features ten full hook-up pull-through sites, and four electric sites with access to water and free sewer. Nightly, weekly and monthly rates are available. Visit Let's Camp - Frenchman Butte to book.
The 35th Annual Museum Festival will be held August 9, 2026, bringing music, food, and heritage together for a day of celebration and connection.
