Discover the natural splendor of the Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area in Saskatoon. Spanning 132 hectares, this preserved space established in 1972 boasts a diverse ecosystem. Home to over 60 species at risk and 55 different tree species, the area offers a rich, educational experience for visitors. Trails managed by Fatlanders Fat Tire Brigade. Amenities; benches and bird feeders by the Friends environmental charity, enhance walking and cycling experiences. While formal ski trails are absent, the park is open for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Year-round events and programs are also available. The Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas gratefully accepts donations to help support the conservation of the area. Please respect this park space, its semi-wilderness habitat, wildlife and eco-tourists. Camping is not permitted.
