Located in Lumsden, the John Nugent studio, designed by Saskatchewan architect Clifford Wiens, is a masterpiece named after John Nugent, a prominent Canadian sculptor who utilized the building for large-scale abstract metal casting work. In 1967, the Nugent Studio received a Massy Silver Medal for its architectural design. Nugent's artworks have been nationally exhibited and are featured in significant collections, including those of the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the MacKenzie Art Gallery. Currently, over 20 of Nugent’s large-scale sculptures can be viewed along the Nugent Walking Trail.
