Saskatchewan’s spacious cities and small towns are rich in culture and surrounded by valleys, forests, lakes and rivers. Here you’ll find plenty of amazing golf courses. Saskatchewan’s Prairie Life & City Lights zone is filled with golfing opportunities that are never too far away. Here are 12 golf courses to try the next time you want to hit the links

Jackfish Lodge Golf & Conference Centre

Location: The Battlefords Provincial Park

Jackfish Lodge Golf & Conference Centre offers 18 well-groomed, scenic holes to challenge golfers of any calibre. The elevation changes are constant as well as the different doglegs. The front nine offers some smaller greens that require good approach shots and chipping. The back nine comes with bigger greens to put your putter to the test.

The Legends Golf Club

Location: Warman

Located 15 minutes north of Saskatoon in Warman, Legends Golf Course is an 18-hole course you have to check out. With five different tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all ages and skill levels, The Legends is a true test of golf for all to enjoy. As a true-links style course, it is protected by thick fescue, rolling fairways and water coming into play on 10 of the 18 holes.

Moon Lake Golf and Country Club

Location: Saskatoon

Designed with water hazards, heavily mounded fairways and long native grass, Saskatoon's Moon Lake Golf and Country Club is a beautiful 27-hole Scottish links-style championship course. It offers three different 18-hole combinations that will challenge all aspects of your game.

Dakota Dunes Golf Links

Location: Whitecap Dakota First Nation

Dakota Dunes Golf Links offers 18 holes laid spaciously throughout natural sand dune formations and the indigenous prairie grasses that surround its edges. Five tee deck yardages ranging from 5,100 to 7,300 yards remove the threat of being overpowered by today’s technology. Undulating fairways with large greens will welcome shots of every shape. Whatever your ability to play, you will find the yardage and challenge to fit your game.

Manitou Beach Golf Club

Location: Manitou Beach

The Manitou Beach Golf Club is a challenging 9-hole course dotted with bunkers and water hazards to test anyone’s golfing skills. The course, nestled on the shores of Little Manitou Lake, has tree-lined fairways and large irrigated greens. The clubhouse offers licensed dining with an adjoining outdoor patio.

Good Spirit Golf Resort

Location: Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park

A perfect destination for a summer getaway, Good Spirit Golf Resort features an 18-hole, tree-lined course that tests golfers of all handicaps. Its 6,326-yard (women 5,875-yard) layout appeals to experienced and recreational golfers.

Deer Park Golf Course

Location: Yorkton

The course is situated on rolling, heavily wooded terrain and is a beautiful setting any golfer can enjoy. Deer Park Golf Course is one of Saskatchewan's top-ranked 18-hole golf courses with water, sand and multiple tee areas that complement the already challenging terrain.

Katepwa Beach Golf Club

Location: Katepwa Beach

Katepwa Beach Golf Club is an outstanding 9-hole golf course nestled in the Qu'Appelle Valley. This course is one of the most scenic golf courses on the Canadian prairies, with undulating terrain, dramatic elevation changes and meticulously maintained greens.

Echo Ridge Golf Course

Location: Fort Qu'Appelle

Situated in Fort Qu'Appelle, in the heart of the beautiful Qu'Appelle Valley, the Echo Ridge Golf Course is a 9-hole course with a challenging layout, manicured greens and fairways, friendly staff and a great licensed clubhouse.

Deer Valley Golf Club

Location: Regina

Located near Regina, Deer Valley Golf Club is a stunning and challenging 18-hole championship course that winds along Wascana Creek in the beautiful Qu'Appelle Valley. The magnificent clubhouse is a must-see, providing the final touches to this premier golf destination.

Golf Kenosee

Location: Moose Mountain Provincial Park

One of Saskatchewan's premier courses, Golf Kenosee sits in an expansive park on the southeast's highest plateau, amidst the forests of Moose Mountain Provincial Park. The 18-hole course puts a premium on straight, accurate shots and its sheltered fairways remain player friendly, even on a windy day. Visit Club 19 and take in the scenic view of the golf course while enjoying a refreshment or meal.

White Bear Lake Golf Course

Location: White Bear First Nation

A hop, skip and a jump from Golf Kenosee, White Bear Lake’s 18-hole golf course is renowned for its scenic beauty and quality conditions. This shot-maker’s course has bentgrass greens and the only white silica sand bunkers in southern Saskatchewan. It features three sets of tees, and has long, challenging and well-treed fairways in a highland of hills, lakes and ponds.
