Welcome to cabin country – where rolling parkland transitions to northern boreal forest that covers half of the province and frames nearly 100,000 lakes and rivers. Here, summer days are spent at the beach with your toes in the sand, roasting marshmallows and telling stories around the fire and vacationing with family at your cottage or favourite campground. 

Duck Mountain Provincial Park

Duck Mountain Provincial Park is loved for its rolling hills, well-stocked lakes and boreal forest setting. This family-friendly park offers a wide-range of recreational opportunities. Fish for pike, walleye or perch in spring-fed Madge Lake, or try one of the various other lakes found in and around the park. Bike a section of the Trans Canada Trail or sample one of the other self-guided or interpretive trails. Check out the nearby National Doukhobor Heritage Village site at Veregin.

Greenwater Lake Provincial Park

A stunning year-round destination, Greenwater Lake Provincial Park offers premier fishing and water sport opportunities that the whole family can enjoy. With a beautiful beach, excellent camping opportunities, in-park accommodations including cabins and a Camp-Easy yurt, plus extensive hiking, snowmobile and cross-country ski trails, Greenwater Lake is where adventure awaits.

Candle Lake Provincial Park

Well-known for its sandy beaches, clear water and surrounding forest, Candle Lake Provincial Park is a premier camping destination with various outdoor opportunities to be enjoyed. Home to a large, shallow beach, this park is a great destination for families with small children. Fish for walleye, pike, perch, burbot and whitefish in one of the park's lakes or creeks, or enjoy a hike on the boardwalks out to the Minowukaw Sand Dunes. Conveniently located next to the resort village of Candle Lake to satisfy all of their service and amenity needs, Candle Lake Provincial Park is a destination the entire family can enjoy!

Great Blue Heron Provincial Park

Great Blue Heron Provincial Park offers a quiet escape to those wishing to embrace the great outdoors. Adjacent to Prince Albert National Park, Great Blue Heron offers a variety of camping opportunities including electric, non-electric and group campsites. This scenic park is popular with hikers, anglers and canoeists. Other amenities include beach and picnic areas, disc golf course, lodging at Land of the Loon Resort or in a new Mongolian-style yurt, a boat launch, filleting station, ATV trails and groomed hiking/cross-country ski trails connecting to Prince Albert National Park.

Meadow Lake Provincial Park

Spanning more than 1,600 sq. km and featuring more than 20 lakes, rivers and streams, Meadow Lake Provincial Park is one of the largest provincial parks in Canada. A favorite destination for many vacationers, this park offers excellent fishing and water-based opportunities, some of the best beaches in Saskatchewan and the Boreal Trail, one of the premier hiking destinations in Canada.

Makwa Lake Provincial Park

Listen for the call of the loon at Makwa Lake Provincial Park. Traverse the scenic trails for a forest bath, indulging in vibrant colours, serene sights, and nature's soothing sounds. This expansive park connects five lakes amid a mixed forest of poplar and jack pine. Featuring six hiking trails, multiple sandy beaches, three campgrounds, and service centres, it's a haven for families and nature enthusiasts.
